Alexa Fluor® 532 Antibody Conjugates

Tag your proteins or cells of interest with the bright, highly photostable yellow fluorescence of Alexa Fluor 532. Distinct from green and red fluorophores, Alexa Fluor 532 conjugates are useful in multicolor applications, including flow cytometry and super-resolution microscopy using dSTORM. The common 532 green laser line and 555/20 filter set can be used with Alexa Fluor 532 conjugates for seamless integration into your current workflows.

The dashed green line represents the excitation spectrum of Alexa Fluor 532, and the solid line shows its emission spectrum. For optimal results in multiplex labeling experiments, it’s best to choose antibodies conjugated to fluorophores with minimal overlap in emission spectra. Alexa Fluor 532 conjugates can be excited in the 515-532 nm range.

Applications in Research

Alexa Fluor 532 is a powerful tool for research for several reasons:

  • It is useful in multiplexing experiments as it has little overlap with red, green, blue, far-red, and near-infrared fluorophores, including Alexa Fluor® 488.
  • Alexa Fluor 532 conjugates are commonly used in super-resolution microscopy, where their photostability and brightness enable the capture of detailed images.
  • Alexa Fluor 532 is particularly popular in flow cytometry due to its optimal excitation with the 532 nm laser and its bright, sharp emission.
  • It is available with various reactive groups to allow conjugation with most biomolecules, permitting access to amine, thiol, glycan, or other conjugation chemistries.

Alexa Fluor 532 is compatible with several detection systems and is pH insensitive over a wide molar range, ensuring stable signals in live cells and in:
