    Product Information

    Product Description

This Cell Signaling Technology® antibody is conjugated to FITC fluorescent dye under optimal conditions and formulated at 2.0 mg/mL.

    Product Usage Information

The optimal dilution of the anti-species antibody should be determined for each primary antibody by titration. However, a final dilution of 1:500 – 1:2,000 should yield acceptable results for immunofluorescent assays.

When using rabbit Fc-directed secondaries, a higher concentration of primary antibody may be required. The optimal dilution of each primary antibody should be determined by titration.

FITC has relatively low photostability. Usage of an antifade reagent is recommended to preserve signal intensity.

    Storage

Supplied lyophilized with a formulation of 0.02 M potassium phosphate, 0.15 M sodium chloride (pH 7.2), 10 mg/mL BSA, and 0.01% azide at 4ºC. If not clear, rehydrate with 1.0 mL dH2O and centrifuge. The product is stable for six weeks at 4ºC as an undiluted liquid. Solutions should be used within 12 months. Aliquot to avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

    Specificity / Sensitivity

Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, Fc Fragment Antibody (FITC Conjugate) reacts with the Fc portion of rabbit IgG. This antibody conjugate does not react with the Fab portion of rabbit IgG or human serum proteins.

    Rabbit

    Background

This product is optimized for use as a secondary antibody in immunofluorescent applications. Fluorescent anti-species IgG conjugates are ideal for immunofluorescence. Cell Signaling Technology applies strict quality control procedures to ensure that each conjugate provides optimal specificity and fluorescence.
